I love doing tall, dramatic table arrangements. When done properly, you do not need any other decor in a ballroom. When designing tall centerpieces, I have learned the following three facts:
You must avoid top-heavy designs. Yes, folks, I had an arrangement fall on a guest’s head during an event. Suffice it to say it was not pretty.
The base cannot be too thick. Years ago, I created arrangements with thick poles. Well, imagine my surprise when the groom’s father found them obtrusive and removed them from all of the tables (I was in shock!)
It must be on a stable foundation. There is nothing scarier than creating a beautiful, dramatic arrangement and feeling it may collapse at any moment.
It’s with these facts in mind that I chose this amazing glass vase from Planter Resource as my Hot Pick of the week.
We paid around $120USD wholesale, which is not bad as an initial investment.
