“As a child, I would chocolate dip cherries from my tree while the other kids made lemonade. In high school I entertained for family and friends by preparing authentic six-course Asian dinners. By college I was making complete Thanksgiving meals in my dorm room for friends. After a year studying interior design, working as a personal chef after school and a brief stint in culinary school, I met a couple of flight attendants standing in line at a cafe. It was raining outside, they needed a ride, and one thing led to another and the next thing I knew I was catering for a private plane responsible for transporting NBA and NHL Teams.
My next step was to start my own catering business, which eventually led to planning events, moving to Los Angeles, getting a degree in Visual Communications at FIDM and starting a wedding planning business. A couple years later I met Nigel. We lived in the same building and were introduced by a mutual friend. He was in the Fashion Industry. We had a lot in common and started to help each other with our respective businesses.
When Nigel found the same passion for the event business as I had, he convinced me to come with him to Miami to attend a bridal showcase. He then convinced me we needed to start planning events in Miami and eventually move to grow my business. He was right, Miami was an amazing city and the place to be! We came together to grow the business, spending a little more than a year making ourselves indispensable at a couple different resort properties. After much hard work and dedication we were able to secure a preferred vendor contract at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Now, as partners, we have built an amazing clientele in a very short time and our business continues to grow by leaps and bounds each year. We love what we do and strive for perfection. I believe we are detailed, passionate and unique.”
I agree, Carrie.
