New York city was buzzing last Friday in celebration of Fashion’s Night Out. Walking down Madison Ave was like experiencing one big fashion show, with all the fashionistas exhibiting their best garbs.
For my part of Fashion’s Night Out, I spent the evening with my good friend Reem Acra, my pal Sylvia Weinstock and The Knot’s brilliant Carley Roney.
The theme of the evening, instead of dressing up, was dressing down.
For a bit of humor we had a burlesque dancer by the name of “Dirty Martini” doing her version of “dressing down” in Reem’s store window (it literally stopped traffic on Madison Ave). We also had the Hot NY DJ Lady Bunny keeping everyone swaying to the music.
All in all, we all had a great deal of good ol’ New York fun.
I liked the theme of “dressing down” for this fashion occasion. What fun theme have you done recently? Or, do you have any suggestions of great themes for future events?
