First, let me say that I am so happy to be writing this blog today!
For many months, Preston and I have been working diligently on a project for all of you planners out there and now the day has come when I can let you in on an exciting secret. For several years, we have been getting inquiries and emails from planners all over the world who have wanted to know everything from how to start their own business and run it to how to break into and thrive in the high-end market.
Now, for the first time, we at Preston Bailey Designs are opening our doors to planners and sharing our knowledge in a strategic and detailed five-part series which will launch during MarketWeek on April 16th and continue every two months through December 2015.
This program is very close to my heart. Like many of you, I started out as a planner with a little more than a dream and a whole lot of drive. Over the past twenty years (I cannot believe I just admitted it was twenty years), I have learned, failed, fallen, succeeded and soared in ways I never thought imaginable. I have made plenty of mistakes, extracted the lessons, got back up and moved forward time and again. In doing so, I have achieved more than I ever thought possible. Having gone from a junior planner to one working in the luxury market, I have faced and tripped over my share of stumbling blocks and it is my hope that, by sharing my journey and what I have learned, I can assist others in achieving their own version of success.
In addition to the planning curriculum, we have something else in store for all attendees. Our Editor-In-Chief will be sharing the secrets to creating and executing a brand-specific, content and strong social media strategy.
In the coming days, we will be sharing more information about the classes, curriculums and agenda’s and allowing those interested the opportunity to sign up!
Will we be seeing you there? If so, what would you most like to learn?
With a very happy heart,
Kathy Romero is the Vice President and Global Wedding & Event Planner for Preston Bailey Designs. She shares her thoughts and advice on Preston’s Blog every Thursday.
