Behind The Scenes:  Transforming a Raw Space Into a Fantasy Wedding

Dear Readers:

As we prepare for our next PB Protégé Class things have gotten a bit hectic here at the PB Design House.  My staff and I are working diligently to create a program that’s interactive, informative and (hopefully) inspiring.

I often get requests to shadow myself and my crew as we execute the decor for one of our weddings and transform a space from start to finish.  It is for this reason that I thought this next class would be a great opportunity to give away a wedding and teach all of my students what is behind the transformation of a raw space into a magical fantasy wedding.  In order to do that, I had to find that perfect space, and I did. It’s a unique gallery owned by my friend, the talented photographer, Terry Grueber.  Terry rents the space for events and had availability on the 24th and 25th of February.

The theme of the wedding is Four Seasons.   The lucky couple will have their cocktail reception in summer which will transform into fall. Guests will then enjoy the ceremony in spring and the dinner reception will be held in a winter wonderland.

The students in the Protege program will be instructed in an extensive Presto Bailey Floral Design Course.  As we move closer to the date, I will continue to feed you images and information as to what you can expect in this course.

Today, I would like to ask all of you to share your favorite season to do wedding. I personally love dramatic winter wonderlands (like the one I am sharing above) which is followed by spring.  Which do you prefer?
