An Open Letter To My Readers

Dear Readers:

I know we usually showcase letters from brides on Fridays but I wanted to write a personal letter to all of you today instead.

Three years ago, when I started my Protege program, I never imagined it would be where it is today. I am truly humbled by the interest and feedback I have had in response to the course. I read all of the comments that you leave on my blogs and social media and every email that comes to me in my office. I so appreciated the enthusiasm in response to my Masterclass as well as the candid feedback regarding the $10,000.00 US admission fee for the course.

The reality is that these courses are very much my passion project, and if my I could afford to take off the time and provide all of the flowers, materials and tools and teach them for free, I would. But that is not possible. The sheer number of materials needed for a relevant and worthwhile 10-day course means that I have to charge enough to cover it.

The decision to do this course came about after reading a number of inquiries and asking hundreds of attendees for their feedback. The more we read the responses, the more it became very clear to my staff and I that we needed to offer a longer and more intensive course option. That’s when we started to work diligently on carving out 10 full days and building a challenging floral design course that would offer access to the mechanics behind some of our most major designs.

There are few things as rewarding as sitting with the amazing and talented artists who come to the class and watching them absorb new information and share how their confidence and business has grown as a result. I know that many of you want to come but cannot join us at this time and I want you to know that I have not forgotten you. I will be offering more PB Protege courses in the future and have been working on a PB Online course as well.

With the cost of time and materials needed to provide this ambitious and challenging course, the fee is fair and necessary, but my goal is always to be there to offer all of you full access to myself and my amazing staff and to give back in whatever ways I can. I never want any of you to feel alienated in any way and would love to know how we can help you achieve your goals in the comment section below.

Have a wonderful weekend and many blessings,
