As many of you know, I’ve been blogging for awhile now, and this blog is very important to me. My relationship with my readers means a lot to me. I love the community and the conversations we have here in this space. But one thing’s been missing: I don’t know my fellow bloggers very well. And I want to change that.
So, yesterday, I had some wonderful wedding bloggers over for lunch! The talented women behind Brooklyn Bride, Ritzy Bee, Merci New York, Perfect Bound, From I Will to I Do, The Sweetest Occasion, and The Bridal Wishlist joined me for good food and good conversation. Boy, did we have a lot to talk about. Are you reading their blogs? You should be!
I learned lots and lots, and I also got to introduce everyone to my other blog, Bride Ideas. Plus, I showed them my wedding planning Facebook App and my wedding planning color palette selector tool and “design your own tablecloth” tool.
I was especially pleased to have my dear friend, Ayiri, join us. Ayiri is from Nigeria and owns a wonderful event business there. You can see her in the photo below; she’s the lovely lady sitting to my left. I was so excited to see her and introduce her to so many great American business women.
I also got to introduce the ladies to another one of my favorite women: Jana Keith-Jennings. Jana is my personal chef, and she’s responsible for helping me maintain my raw diet. She made us a delicious spread including a watermelon and tomato salad, a fresh summer corn salad and even raw mushroom pizza. For dessert, she really outdid herself. We had cookies, brownies, passionfruit and raspberry tarts, lemon and blueberry tarts, strawberry tarts, and chocolate truffles. Jana uses no processed flours, processed sugars, gluten, animal or dairy products or genetically modified additives. She also uses low-heat cooking methods to create enzyme and nutrient rich dishes.
