HOW TO REMOVE OBSTACLES FROM YOUR BUSINESS
June 20, 2011
Business obstacles are nothing more than unrecognized opportunities, but even though I recognize this, at times, I still get overwhelmed by them. I recently had a client who was never satisfied, no matter what I did. Talk about a big hurdle! But I was determined to reach her. Eventually, after several challenging issues, we made it work, and my client was thrilled with the way her event turned out.
I’m reminded of what Michael Jordan said about obstacles: “If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I’ve had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
We can make the climb easier, if we share what we’ve learned with one another. So, today, let’s support each other.
Readers, please share three business obstacles you’re either currently struggling with or have dealt with recently.
1. I am dealing with dramatic and creative employees but am trying to do so without losing my cool.
2. I am writing the introduction to my new book and am focusing on the idea of doing business from the heart.
3. I am trying to get my clients to understand what things actually cost.
The first step to making a situation better is vocalizing it and sharing it with others. Thanks for listening.
Now, what are your obstacles?
