I am always in awe when I go to an event and see something so clever and wonderful that it makes me think, “Now, why didn’t I think of that?”
So, I want to start a series called Good Ideas where we can share ideas we’ve seen as we travel or attend parties that make us stop and think, “That’s really clever.”
Of course, I’ll also share ideas of small things I’ve done that have worked out well.
This week, I have three Good Ideas for you:
- After leaving a party, I noticed that the host arranged for all the ladies to get one single beautiful rose right after receiving her car. It was precious to see them loving this simple act.
- I am often asked what happens to all the flowers after events are over. A great idea is to bring them to the closest nursing home in your community. Trust me that seeing the joy you’ll bring to these folks will bring you joy too.
- This last idea you can apply to your own events or parties at home. We are all so invested in creating bars that serve alcohol, but how about a bar with fresh fruit for a non-alcoholic drink option? All you need is a good blender and a diverse selections of your favorite fruit. When I create these bars, they tend to be more popular than the alcohol bar. We all like drinking fresh mixed fruit, especially if you, like me, do not drink alcohol.
I’d love to hear any Good Ideas you have done or witnessed recently. Tell me all about it in the comments!
