Designing With Flowers: Designing Without Flowers
September 29, 2014
It’s no secret that I love to use a lot of flowers in my designs, but there are times when it’s best to pull back. This is especially true when working in nature, such as the entrance of this event we did in Big Sur, CA.
For this design, we wanted to create the impression that the entrance grew organically, so we made made a “door” made entirely of having vines. Now, I really believe that entrances are very important in that they set the tone for the event, but some people still found this a bit boring.
What do you think? Also, do you think it is OK to do a particular design using mostly greens?
