Today is so full of sunshine that I wanted to highlight a bride whose wedding reminded me of a sunny, spring day on what was actually a very cold, winter day. I used a mixture of corals, pinks and creams to create Marissa’s ceremony decor, while the reception was outfitted in deep reds and a hint of purple.

We also added personalized touches like the floral sculpture of monkeys that greeted friends and family at the entrance, which matched the tiny monkeys that decorated the wedding cake (and the monkeys featured on the wedding invites). The wedding took place in the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Marissa was such a beautiful, amazing bride.

Tell me, did you get married (if you’re married) in the spring, summer, winter or fall? And why?
