Behind-The-Scenes: The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book
October 8, 2014
Today, I want to take you behind-the-scenes of a very special event. As I mentioned yesterday on my Facebook page, I have been given the wonderful chance to offer a limited-edition gift for the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book.
As someone who has always enjoyed looking through the famed catalogue, I was both humbled and honored when they asked me to contribute this year. When thinking about what to offer, the decision was a simple one. It had to be a combination of all of the things I love most: art, design and mother nature. I chose to create two peacock sculptures in two different sizes. The reason behind this was a simple one; peacocks are particularly special to me as they are not only beautiful, but they are said to represent protection and guidance. For me, they also represent hope.
My team and I began working on designs immediately and I could not be happier with the final design, but just because I like it doesn’t mean you will. Please watch this video in which the piece is showcased and described in fuller detail, and as always, I encourage you to share your thoughts below.
